Some knitting motivation

I now have this urgent need to complete lots of projects, so I can try out this awesome sock technique: http://twistcollective.com/collection/index.php/component/content/article/36-columns/65-houdini-socks I'm 100% fascinated by it and I need to try it ASAP. Unfortunately that means I will have to knit socks in pairs so I can see how well they wear- including the pair that I have halfway done already. So much yarn, so little time. How am I supposed to find time to clean my house?

The project that hates me

It's a Faraway, So Close shawl and apparently I wronged it in another life or something. I've been working on it since February when my daughter was in the hospital and it's still not done. I did have to frog 31 rows at one point because I screwed up and then after getting all of those re-knit, I decided to frog the whole thing because I didn't like how it was turning out since I was using the wrong size needles: the fabric was crazy thick and the drape was horrible because of it.

I've since purchased the correct size of needles and knit about 85% of the shawl, but again, I missed a stitch somewhere and can't figure out where, so I have one row that has the wrong number of stitches and is throwing the pattern off. I'll have to sit down today and get it all figured out, so I can hopefully get this thing done this weekend.

Also working on some longies for a swap on www.hyenacart.com and some personal projects like capris for my DD2, safety cones for my boys, and a pair of fingerless gloves for DD2. Hopefully, I can make some serious progress in the next week, as I've already got a ton of projects lined up to work on next. Yeah, I know, pictures. They'll get here sometime. ;)
